Prayer Points

Congregational Focus:

the blessings God gives us: food, shelter, etc., and for His love, and mercy, and grace to us His people.
the gift of the Lord’s Day, when we can rest from our normal work and gather to worship Him. Pray that we would keep the day holy and use it to grow spiritually.

Salvation

the salvation of our children and young people, those who worship with us but as yet have not professed faith, and our family members who don’t attend church.

Sanctification

that God would write His Word on our hearts, that we would grow in faith and love, and that we would be zealous for Christ.

Ministry

Give thanks that we are able to meet to worship God.
Pray for the ministries of the church: METs, Bible Class, Kids Club, Girls Group.
Pray for Jimmy and Helen who have Tours almost every day this week.

Congregation

Pray for the Wynns away in the Borders, Jacob Alexander away in Belgium, and James B. in Italy.
Give thanks that Anne Bruce has been discharged from hospital at home and is recovering.
Pray for Stephen’s mum who is having major surgery on Tuesday. Pray for Stephen who will be away during the week to be with her. Pray for Brenda and the children in his absence.

Presbytery

Glasgow – Pray for their Communion season next weekend and for Rev. Peter Loughridge and Rev. Jonathan Baxter who will be preaching at it.
North Edinburgh – Pray that the Lord would raise up men to be elders and deacons.
Stornoway – Pray for their ongoing building project.
Stranraer – Give thanks for a number of new attendees in recent weeks and months. Pray for the Spirit’s work in their lives.
Brikama, The Gambia – Pray that the Lord would raise up men to be elders and deacons.

Sister Churches

Ireland RPC – The Opening Meeting of the Reformed Theological College is Tuesday. Pray for these students as they begin their final year.
France RPC – Nantes – Last week was their first English class of the new season. They had 18 “students” with quite a few more missing. There was a lovely atmosphere for their first meeting and the feedback received was positive. Pray that God would open many hearts to hear and embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Nation

Pray that our nation would turn back to Christ and remember our covenants.
Pray for the Lord’s mercy upon our Parliament that they would seek to be obedient to God.
Pray for the conversion of the king and the royal family.
Pray for our local politicians: Kenneth Stevenson, MP and Neil Gray, MSP.
Pray for the establishment of Reformed Christian schools in Scotland.
