Prayer Points
Congregational Focus:
- Conversions
- That God would use us to daughter a church plant in Wishaw
Thanksgiving and Prayer For:
- the blessings God gives us: food, shelter, etc., and for His love, and mercy, and grace to us His people.
- the gift of the Lord’s Day, when we can rest from our normal work and gather to worship Him. Pray that we would keep the day holy and use it to grow spiritually.
Salvation
- the salvation of our children and young people, those who worship with us but as yet have not professed faith, and our family members who don’t attend church.
Sanctification
- that God would write His Word on our hearts, that we would grow in faith and love, and that we would be zealous for Christ.
Ministry
- Give thanks that we are able to meet to worship God.
- Give thanks that some flyers and Gospels have been and will be given out in our local area. Pray that God would bless our efforts with fruit.
- Pray for conversions in Wishaw and that God would bless the next service there.
- Give thanks for the visitors we had at the Drop In Cafe. Pray that more would come in this week, and we would have opportunities to speak of Christ.
- Give thanks for our deacons and pray for the Session and Deacons as they meet on Thursday night.
- Pray for the Psalm singing event on Saturday evening. Pray for a good turn out from all who have been invited. Pray for Stephen Steele as he prepares for it.
- Pray that we would grow as Christians through the opportunities given us in Bible Classes and the METs.
- Pray for Kids Club and Girls Group.
Congregation
- Pray for those in the congregation with various health issues and those waiting to see doctors and get tests done or hear about results.
- Remember those unable to be at worship for health reasons: Anne.
Presbytery
- Glasgow – Continue to remember the congregation in their vacancy.
- North Edinburgh – Pray for the growth of the congregation.
- Stornoway – Give thanks for the growth of the congregation.
- Stranraer – Pray that the work done to the building would encourage people to take the step of coming back to church / coming for the first time.
- The Gambia – Pray that the Lord would raise up men to be elders and deacons.
Sister Churches
- Irish RPC – Drimbolg RPC – Give thanks for the encouragement of the annual pastoral visitations in the congregation. Pray that members and adherents will be emboldened in their faith, grow in their Christian walk and be helped in their service for the extension of God’s Kingdom.
- USA RPC – First RPC (Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania) – Give thanks for their 150th anniversary and all that God has done in the congregation over those years.
- Nantes RPC, France – Pray for the regular ministries taking place, worship and children’s ministry on the Lord’s Day, Bible study each Wednesday evening.
Nation
- Pray that our nation would turn back to Christ and remember our covenants.
- Pray for the Lord’s mercy upon our Parliament that they would seek to be obedient to God.
- Pray for the conversion of the king and the royal family.
- Pray for our local politicians: Kenneth Stevenson, MP and Neil Gray, MSP.
- Pray for the establishment of Reformed Christian schools in Scotland.
