Today is quite an important anniversary in Scotland’s church history.
Following the protests over the bishop’s, the Book of Canons, and the Book of Common Prayer, Presbyterians in Scotland decided they needed a way of uniting against these attacks on their religion.
On the 22nd February 1638, a minister named Alexander Henderson and a lawyer named Archibald Johnston of Wariston were given the task of producing a Covenant. To read the rest of this article, click here.
