200th Anniversary

2024 is the 200th Anniversary of the ordination of our first minister, Rev. Thomas Halliday. To mark this occasion we are celebrating 200 years of God’s faithfulness to us with two different events.

On Saturday the 7th September we will have an Open Doors Historic Exhibition in the church building from 10am to 4pm. There will be displays about the life of Rev. Thomas Halliday, the history of the church and its connections to Scotland’s Reformation, to the town of Airdrie, and the wider world. There will be lots to look at as well as video interviews from some of our older members. If you are interested in the history of Airdrie, the history of churches, history in general, or just always wanted to look inside that building on North Bridge Street, we think you’ll enjoy this exhibit. There will be a bookstall provided by James Dickson Books, and free home baking and tea and coffee. Drop in anytime between 10am and 4pm.

On Thursday the 12th September at 7pm we will have a Service of Thanksgiving. Rev. Robert McCollum will be the speaker on this night. Come and join with us in thanking God for His goodness to us.
