Jacob on Cloughmills GO Team

Jacob just got back from the Cloughmills GO Team. GO Teams are the short term mission teams of the Irish and Scottish RP Churches. We caught up with him to ask him some questions about this trip.
How many were on the team?
There were eight, including me. Elena from Glasgow RP, and Hannah from North Edinburgh RP were also on this team.
What kind of things did you do on the Team?
On the Monday afternoon there was a pensioners tea party, then the rest of the week was Holiday Bible Club in the morning, team devotions in the afternoon, then youth club at night.

What was the team devotional time like?
Joel (Rev. Joel Loughridge) led team devotions, and we went through Matthew 9:35-10:42. Joel focussed on how to study the Bible and also on prayer
What was your favourite thing you did, and what was the hardest thing you did?
The youth club was my favourite part because it gave a chance for us to relax and get more involved in taking part rather than the leadership side, but it was also the hardest part as the people there were my age, so it was harder to talk to them about Christianity and church.
What do you think are the benefits of going on a GO Team?
The benefits of a GO team are mainly being in another church and seeing their individual growth, but it is also a big spiritual blessing being with Christians who are willing to serve God, but are also facing the same challenges in school and other parts of life.
