May Good News
The May edition of Good News is now available to download.
I hope you enjoy this new edition of Good News. It is quite literally full of good news, as we hear reports from our congregations and wider denomination.
It’s the time of the year that the various other Presbyterian churches in Scotland have their General Assemblies and Synods. Tim Donachie’s article helps us to understand the benefits of Presbyterianism. The picture on the article is either the RP Presbytery or RP Synod outside the Glasgow (Nicholson Street) congregation. It was recently discovered, and we could do with some help identifying the year and some of the elders.
Our practical series on Christian duties moves on to consider Christian Hospitality. I am thankful that Marietta Macdonald has written for us some advice. Having been on the receiving end of Marietta’s hospitality I can recommend her expertise!
Joey Dunlap’s article raises an important topic that is seldom considered today – the connection between national righteousness and national judgement. We should consider how we can speak about these matters in the 21st Century, because we know that our God does not change.
