RP Mission Team – Week One
This past week, the missions team arrived and began work at Airdrie Reformed Presbyterian church. The team of five includes Zuri Cassell, Richard Torelli, Solomon Van Vlack, Rachel Mack and her brother, Nate Mack.
The work began on Wednesday morning, after everyone had arrived on Tuesday night. The yellow wall in the church hall was painted light blue, and deep cleaning was done throughout the church building.
On Thursday, the team began the work of distributing the parish newsletters throughout Airdrie. There were opportunities to share the gospel, and we should pray that God would use the newsletters to lead the people of Airdrie to learn about this church and to follow him.
On Friday, a variety of outside work was done at the manse, including brush removal, rubbish removal, weeding, and cleaning of the garage. Presbytery was also held at Glasgow Reformed Presbyterian Church. Rev Noah Bailey from Massachusetts gave an update on the situation of the Reformed Presbyterian church in America, and Reverend Peter Loughridge told of his experience in The Gambia and the encouraging growth and interest in the gospel there.
On Saturday, the mission team enjoyed a day trip to St Andrews to conclude the week’s work.
Noah Bailey preached in the morning at Airdrie and Stephen McCollum in the evening, and the congregation enjoyed a fellowship luncheon after the service.
Keep the mission team in prayer as they will head to North Edinburgh next to aid and support the church there and hope to spread the gospel.
